In the heart of Salento in Trepuzzi, Lecce, Bed and Breakfast B&B Villa delle Palme, invites you to spend a relaxing holiday in absolute peace immersed in the nature and in the green. Our bed and breakfast in the Salento, 6 km from Lecce is situated in a strategic point of the Salento peninsula and it offers all the advantages of proximity to the town and at the same time ensures the tranquillity and relax that only a construction immersed in the green as our may grant. Our bed and breakfast is a typical structure of the Salento with vaulted ceilings, classics of our architecture. Recently renovated and dating from the beginning of the' 900, the B&B Villa delle Palme in Trepuzzi, was used in the first decades for spending holidays during the summer. The house is surrounded by olive trees that extends for approximately 40000 m2, it is surrounded by palms, cypresses, pines, eucalyptus, acacia trees and fruit trees.

The Bed and Breakfast is located in Lecce in Trepuzzi, in the centre of the Salento 12 km from the Adriatic coast and in 25km from the Ionic coast, and a few minutes by splendid coastal towns for lovers of the sea and beaches such as those of the Adriatic coast which Torre dell' Orso, Otranto, Santa Cesarea terme, Porto Badisco, Castro's beautiful Zinzulusa Cave and of its limpid sea, in the Ionian coast we have the land of the two seas, Santa Maria di Leuca, and the beautiful villages of Torre S. Giovanni, Ugento, Gallipoli, Santa Caterina, Port wild and Porto Cesareo.

For the lovers of art the main stage is our Lecce, the city where more elaborate  was the development of Baroque art in Pietra Leccese. We are talking, in fact, about Lecce baroque and the beauty of its monuments The city is defined the Florence of the South or the Athens of Puglia. Note above all for the wealth of monuments which adorn it, many of which made in the typical style: Lecce Baroque. Significant are the decorations, the capitals, the pinnacles and the rose-windows that decorate many of the palaces and churches of the city, such as the Palace of Celestini and the adjacent Basilica of Santa Croce, the Church of Santa Chiara and the Duomo. 

Of the most beautiful areas of Lecce there are Piazza S. Oronzo, the main square, in which raised the famous statue of the patron saint of the city of Lecce. Next it is situated the ancient Roman Amphitheatre, built in the II century A. D., today there is only part of the arena, the lower tiers and the external walls as the most is still hidden under the square. Is the baroque which dominates in the central Piazza Duomo in Lecce. The architect of Lecce, who worked to harmonise the streeetscape, realized the palaces twins. On the left of the square it is risen the imposing Campanile of 70 metres and divided into 5 floors, the work of Giuseppe Zimbalo, while in the centre there is the Cathedral and on the right, finally, the Seminar. Located in the center of the homonymous square of Lecce, the Duomo, among the most beautiful in Italy, built the first time in 1144, then in 1230. You can see the Portal surmounted by a balustrade where at the centre the statue of S. Oronzo stands. S.Oronzo. The Cathedral, a Latin cross, has 12 altars, over the greater, for the most part of the late 17 th century, and is rich with works picturesque carried out by important artists. The monument symbol of the Baroque of Lecce is the Basilica of Santa Croce, built straddling two centuries, from 1549 to 1695. The prospectus is rich in symbols, statues and decorations. The interior, Latin-cross with three naves, is sheer basilican form. The castle has been done in Lecce, according to tradition by wish of Carlo V in order to prevent the Turkish invasions. In reality Carlo V widened and it changed a pre-existing manor.

Also for those who love visiting hinterland of Salento, few km from Lecce is possible to visit the municipalities of so-called Greek Salentine: CALIMERA, Martignano, MARTANO, Soleto, Melpignano, Castrignano dei Greci, Corigliano d'Otranto, Sternatia e Zollino, that still today are part of a land where long time ago they were Greek colonized and where today the spoken language is a language grica, they will remind you also for the traditional and frantic pace and involving taranta (ancient dance originating in these lands installed by the sound of tambourines, accordion, guitar). There are numerous musical events and festivals that are followed on the evenings of the month of August: among these, the Night of Taranta in Melpignano is now a booster international event.

Posto a pochi metri dall'Arco di Trionfo e al centro del Viale degli studenti, l’Obelisco di Lecce fu eretto nel 1822 su progetto di Luigi Cipolla dallo scultore salentino Vito Carluccio, in onore di Ferdinando I di Borbone. L’Obelisco è decorato nelle quattro facciate con alcune figure in bassorilievo, tra cui in basso il delfino che morde la mezzaluna turca, stemma dei capoluoghi di Terra d'Otranto. Un curioso episodio riguarda tale obelisco: la propaganda borbonica lo fece colorare di nero, in modo che ricordasse un obelisco marmoreo, ma la prima pioggia cancellò ogni traccia del colore nero.

L'Arco di Trionfo, detto comunemente Porta Napoli, sorge nell'omonima piazza di Lecce fu eretto nel 1548 in onore dell'imperatore Carlo V, dalla cittadinanza grata per le opere di fortificazione fatte realizzare in difesa di Lecce. Alto 20 m, questo monumento fu realizzato nel luogo dell'antica "Porta S. Giusto", al di sotto della quale, secondo la tradizione, riposavano le spoglie del santo. D'ordine corinzio, con le colonne binate, aventi la base attica e il capitello barocco, L'Arco di Trionfo ha sul frontone triangolare scolpite le insegne imperiali con trofei e panoplie.

Eventi A Lecce : Ricorrenze, feste e fiere a Lecce : La città si presenta come una sinergia di manifestazioni culturali spesso di eco nazionale che sono facilemente raggiungibili in pochi minuti dal nostro Bed and Breakfast B&B Villa delle Palme a Trepuzzi che dista da Lecce solo 6km. Festa di Sant'Oronzo I festeggiamenti per il patrono di Lecce,Sant'Oronzo durano tre giorni (dal 24 al 26 agosto). La manifestazione religiosa tocca il suo apice durante la processione per le vie del centro storico, il 24 agosto. I restanti giorni sono caratterizzati da concerti, manifestazioni teatrali e concerti in piazza. Chiude la tre giorni di festa lo spettacolo pirotecnico. Fiera di Sant'Oronzo Il 26 agosto si tiene a Lecce la tradizionale fiera del bestiame e degli attrezzi agricoli a lecce. Fiera dei presepi e dei pupi Questo antico mercato popolare di merci varie si svolge dal 13 al 24 del mese di Dicembre nel centro storico di Lecce. Offre ai visitatori e ai turisti le figurine del presepe di produzione artigianale in cartapesta,pietra lecce se o terracotta di lecce. Mercatino dell’antiquariato Ogni ultima domenica del mese si svolge in Via XX Settembre, nelle vicinanze dell'ospedale vecchio, un mercatino che conta un centinaio di bancarelle. Festival del cinema europeo Il Cityplex Santalucia di Lecce ospita il Festival del Cinema Europeo, riconosciuto dal Ministero per i Beni e le Attività Culturali come manifestazione d’interesse nazionale, ideato e organizzato dall’Associazione Culturale “Art Promotion” di Lecce. La notte bianca Il 14 aprile 2007 si è svolta a Lecce la prima notte bianca. Circa duecentomila persone hanno invaso il centro storico. Ricco il cartellone di concerti, mostre e spettacoli. La seconda edizione della notte bianca si è svolta il 26 aprile 2008 per le vie del centro storico. Premio Barocco Si tratta dell'evento televisivo che apre la stagione televisiva estiva di Raiuno proprio a lecce. Il 5 giugno 2007 il capoluogo del Salento ha ospitato questa manifestazione per la prima volta. Premio Rodolfo Valentino È un riconoscimento alla carriera dei protagonisti del cinema internazionale intitolato al celebre divo del cinema muto, nato a Lecce.

Inoltre per coloro che amano visitare l’entroterra del Salento, a pochi Km da Lecce è possibile visitare i comuni della cosiddetta Grecìa Salentina: Calimera, Martignano, Martano, Soleto, Melpignano, Castrignano dei Greci, Corigliano d'Otranto, Sternatia e Zollino, che ancora oggi fanno parte di un territorio dove tempi a dietro furono colonizzati dalla dominazione greca e dove tutt'ora la lingua parlata e una lingua grica, questi paesi li ricordiamo anche per il tradizionale e frenetico e coinvolgente ritmo della Taranta (antico ballo originario di queste terre cadenzato dal suono di tamburelli, fisarmoniche, chitarre). Numerose sono le manifestazioni musicali e le sagre che si susseguono nelle serate del mese d'agosto: tra queste, LA NOTTE DELLA TARANTA a Melpignano è oramai evento di richiamo internazionale.
